Roger Rees Does Double Duty

Roger Rees won the Tony Award for playing the title role in the The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, and then became a household name when he portrayed Robin Colcord on the hit television series, Cheers. These days, Rees is busy on both side of the footlights: as co-director (with Alex Timbers) of the hit Off-Broadway play, Peter and the Starcatcher, at New York Theatre Workshop, and preparing to assume the role of Gomez Addams in The Addams Family on Broadway on March 22. TheaterMania spoke with Rees about both productions.

Jackie Hoffman Talks Turning 5-0

Actor and comedian Jackie Hoffman is currently starring as Grandma Addams in The Addams Family, and later this month, Hoffman will be bringing her all-new solo show, “Jackie Five-Oh!: A Celebration of Jackie Hoffman’s First 50th Birthday,” to Joe’s Pub. The show will feature Hoffman’s trademark humor and original songs, including two that she wrote for Grandma Addams. Hoffman won the 2003 Theatre World Award for her role in Hairspray and has previously appeared on Broadway in Xanadu.
