Kathie Lee Gifford Is Saving Time

Kathie Lee Gifford is a woman of many talents. She’s an actress, whose stage credits include Putting It Together andAnnie; an Emmy Award-winning talk show host, known for her 15-year stint as co-host of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and currently as co-host of the fourth hour of NBC’sToday Show alongside Hoda Kotb; and a popular recording artist, with over 15 CDs to her credit.

Gifford is also a musical theater songwriter, and her musical, Saving Aimee, starring Carolee Carmello as evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, will play the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle from September 30 through October 29. Casey Nicholaw Works His Magic

Casey Nicholaw has made the transition from Broadway performer to becoming one of its most successful choreographers and directors, having worked on such hits as Monty Python’s Spamalot and The Drowsy Chaperone. His most recent shows have been Elf and The Book of Mormon, for which Nicholaw and his co-director Trey Parker won the Tony Award for Best Director. He is currently in Seattle, directing and choreographing the new musical Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre. TheaterMania recently spoke with Nicholaw about these projects.

THEATERMANIA: What was Tony Award night like for you?
